Primary 1 and 2 House Christmas Art Competition

On Wednesday afternoon, all of the Primary 1 and Primary 2 girls met in their Houses to take part in our annual Christmas Art competition. This year, for the first time, the Lower School House Captains and Vice-Captains organised the competition. What a wonderful job they did! They had all prepared delightful art activities for the girls. After an hour or so, each House brought their contribution along to the hall, where Ms Knox had the difficult job of choosing a winner.

Strathmore used paper plates to make wonderful Santas’ heads, Argyll made some cute snowmen with dancing feet, Douglas prepared some lovely Christmas wreaths and each girl in Buccleuch made an adorable penguin. In second place was Lindsay with a 3D advent calendar and in first place was Moray with amazing Santas, complete with ‘googly’ eyes and big grins.

What a wonderful afternoon was had by all! We would all like to thank the Lower School Captains and Vice Captains for all their hard work: they had lovely ideas, were well-organised, patient and kind and the younger girls loved working with them.

In fact, they did such a good job that we may need to ask the Lower School Captains and Vice Captains to organise the event again next year!
