Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
Women currently make up only 11% of the global cyber workforce. The National Cyber Security Centre wants to play their part in changing this. Their competition will hopefully spark a life-long interest in the girls, that could be turned into a fulfilling career in cyber security, helping to make the UK one of the safest places to live and do business online.
17 teams from Lower 4 and Upper 4 have volunteered to take part, and the girls will have the opportunity to gain cyber skills, solve problems, work as a team and have fun with friends. Teams will be taking part over the next week completing online changes that have been derived from skills used by cyber security professionals. We wish them all good luck and look forward to seeing what they can achieve.
