My first week has been good. Everyone has been welcoming and the houseparents have been kind, I’ve never felt excluded and there’s plenty to get involved in. It’s like a constant sleepover without the downside of having to pack up everything the next morning! I share a room with two other girls; I like how you can have your own space to relax but also socialise and chat with others.
There is so much to do in the Big Comm - there are instruments to play, a pool table and a football table, stacks of board games, a library, the Wii and lots of films. I loved when we played bingo the other day - I won a big box of Maltesers.
I’m going on this Sunday’s trip to the Escape Room. I’ve never been to one before but I’m looking forward to trying it out. Hopefully we’ll come out on top!
The routine in Houldsworth has been really good for me. Prep is very useful because it gives me a set time to revise and do work and then afterwards I can really enjoy my downtime.
My favourite meal so far has been the marinated chicken legs. They were served with lots of veg and curly fries - such a good meal for a summer’s day!
