Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
On 13 May the whole of Lower 4 went to the Isle of Cumbrae for camp. Everyone took part in a variety of activities including windsurfing, canoeing and sailing.
Our favourite activities were dart sailing and windsurfing.
A dart is a type of boat that has two hulls. We sailed the dart boats in threes with an instructor and were taught how to tack and steer using the tiller. The boats were very fast and lots of fun. We enjoyed windsurfing because it was fun - you had to try and catch the wind on the sail, so you could go very fast.
