Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
For activities on Saturday night we sewed small stuffed animals, shapes, and a few purses while watching Anastasia. I managed to finish my small moon in a fairly decent amount of time after figuring out where I needed to sew. One of the girls had some trouble with her unicorn, and had to keep redoing her stitching, but eventually it turned out great. There were some cases of pieces of fabric and eyes being lost, but all the toys turned out well in the end.
Somehow, I also ended up helping out with the younger girls stitching, as they had not done any sewing before. The sloth’s eye I sowed on for one of them was pretty good, so I’m proud of that. All in all, it was a very fun evening, and maybe next time I’ll get to make a shark!
