The Coding 2020 Study, is part of a Computer Science Ph.D. project at the University of Abertay, Dundee.
This study is looking into the ways online automatic assessment assistants could help specifically students between the ages of 14 and 16 learning how to code in either Python or Java while completing a GCSE/IGCSE in Computer Science.
It will look into how one particular free online coding and assessment platform, CodingBat, developed by Nick Parlante, computer science lecturer at the University of Stanford in California, could potentially aid students in a UK-curriculum educational setting.
The Lower 5 GCSE Computer Science students are keen to take part in the research and are looking forward to giving their opinions and views. Further details can be found at https://coding2020.compscihub.net.
