The Little Owls enjoyed a lovely trip to the National Portrait Gallery to take part in a workshop called 'Wee Faces'. After a very fun trip in the minibus through Edinburgh, we were met with a lovely team at the gallery. The workshop included taking a walk around the gallery and learning all about sculptures and how they are made. The children loved looking at the starry ceiling and riding the big glass lift. After looking at the very big paintings and sculptures we went into a big art room.
We then took part in a little art workshop using clay and a variety of art materials and tools. We designed and made some beautiful creations to bring back to the nursery.
We had a great trip to the gallery and continue to work on painting our clay sculptures. Thank you to the National Portrait Gallery for having us. We had a wonderful morning!
