Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
Our preschool girls, inspired by the book Michael Recycle, extended their knowledge on the importance of recycling and discussed ways to take care of the world around them. Our conversations led to topics such as the Australian bushfires, deforestation, and global warming. As all girls were very interested in animal play, they enjoyed learning all about the different animals that live in Australia but felt sad to hear how many of them were affected by the bushfires. They all felt that something must be done to save our planet! The Big Owls created a poster to share the message.
A preschool parent visited our nursery to support the girls' fundraiser for the Australian Wildlife. Together we went on a parade around the school to motivate more children to help in this big task. Even though the girls are young, they have voices and want to make them heard, “SAVE OUR PLANET!”
