Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
Holiday club continued over the Easter break to cater for our incredible Key Workers children.
Our days started with indoor quiet activities such as drawing, writing and colouring which was a lovely way to calm and prepare for the day ahead. After snack, we ventured outside for nature trails, scavenger hunts, scootering, ball games, space hopper races, mini tennis, Easter egg hunts, stone collecting, playing on the outdoor equipment in the nursery playground and the Year 1 outdoor classroom. On the final day we even had a fabulous bonfire and marshmallow toasting.
Lunch was always delicious, and we would like to thank Tony and Margaret for looking after us all so well.
The girls loved their art and crafts and put a great deal of time and effort into each project. Painting and sticking were big hits for the children as well as the staff, and we were all very proud of our Elmer made from an old milk carton and our Papier-mâché Easter eggs. With music in the background and lovely chats happening amongst all, it was a happy and relaxed atmosphere. On the few days of late pick up the girls could escape into the adventure of Beauty and the Beast.
I would like to thank everyone in the team for their help and ideas and for the lovely sense of fun and care that they brought to Holiday Club.
