Blogs and News - St George's School, Edinburgh
The Junior Duke club continues, in fact is thriving, with children in Primary 4 and Primary 5 continuing with completing their challenges. It almost seems like the perfect time to take on the challenge, now that “normal” extra-curricular activities are curtailed and there is a bit more family time at home. We meet in Teams at 3pm on a Monday.
The Primary Fours are continuing with completing their Bronze Award, with a degree of flexibility when it comes to attempting “Independence” and “Swimming”, however there have been many great alternative ideas for the girls to choose from. Miss Casely will always want to hear from the girls with their Modern Language activity and many are taking to the papier-mâché modelling, making their artworks outside in the fine weather for Mr Hogarth.
There are many opportunities for the Primary Fives to complete their Silver Award, with highlights being the Eco challenge whilst being out on family walks, the Domestic challenge, setting the dining table correctly for dinner with table decorations and Music, performing for Mrs Morrison.
The girls have time to the end of term to try and complete 7 out of the 10 activities to achieve their award, and those who wish to take a bit longer, can complete them in the following year.
