Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
On Thursday, we went on our very first Primary 2 trip, Mrs Hay joined us too. We went on the school minibuses which was very exciting!
We were dropped off at Cramond Brig. We went on the River Almond Walkway. The river looked gorgeous and the trail was covered in colourful, autumn leaves. We stopped for a snack in the clearings in the wood. We enjoyed playing and exploring this bit of the walk. At one point, we had to climb up a lot of stairs. Some of us were quite scared of heights but we felt very brave when we reached the top.
There were many interesting things to see along the way such as waterfalls and some old ruins. We spotted ponies, a heron and some ducks too. We were fascinated by all the aeroplanes and helicopters that seemed to fly so close above our heads!
When we got to Cramond beach, the minibuses picked us up just in time for lunch. It was a beautiful day and we loved being outdoors with our friends.
