Blogs and News - St George's School, Edinburgh
Well done and thank you to everyone who took part in our School Kilometre Challenge. This challenge was started to encourage people to get active outdoors, drawing inspiration and support for the national ‘Doddie Gump’ challenge to help raise awareness of MND. Doddie Gump has so far raised more than 1 million pounds and clocked up millions of miles for a great cause.
Our challenge doesn’t boast quite such high numbers; however, I am pleased to say we had over 700 entries and travelled 5379kms as a school community – the equivalent of travelling to New York!
The St George’s staff may have kept the overall lead, however, the student leaderboard is as follows...
Our week 4 leaders were...
1st Lower 6
2nd Upper 5
3rd Upper 4
However, our overall leaders and top 3 year groups for the challenge are... (drum roll please)
3rd Upper 4
2nd Lower 6
And our winners for this challenge are Upper 6!
Well done to everyone who took part and a massive congratulations to our Upper and Lower 6 for leading from the top! We look forward to launching new challenges after half term to encourage you all to keep fit. Have a great half term break, stay safe and stay active!
