Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
St George's will celebrate neurodiversity through our assemblies during the week beginning March 15th as part of a national initiative to raise awareness of these conditions.
Over 1500 schools have signed up so far to help celebrate the many strengths, talents and advantages of being neurodivergent. We will all learn more about conditions such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia so we can become more informed, supportive friends and colleagues to people with these conditions. We will celebrate the careers successes of individuals with autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia, too.
Mrs Edwards, Deputy Head Academic Support, commented, "As an inclusive school it is important that we engage the community in understanding and celebrating neurodiversity. This week's national initiative offers a focus on this area that we have been delighted to embrace."
