Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
Recently, the Primary 3 girls took part in Traffic Trails. This was an opportunity to develop their awareness of the traffic environment and their pedestrian skills as well as learning about the local area.
We donned bright high-vis gilets and then we walked around the area surrounding school looking at the different types of buildings. We saw terraced houses, bungalows, detached and semi-detached houses and blocks of flats. Next, we observed the traffic passing us. We made tallies of the different vehicles we saw and will make a bar graph tomorrow in Maths. We were amazed at how many cars passed us!
