Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
With great excitement, the P6 eco team set up stall on World Bee Day last week and displayed our very first jars of St George’s Honeycomb Cottage Honey! Due to limited supplies, these were available for sale just to the P6 year group this time, who were the girls involved in the original set up and painting of Honeycomb Cottage last year.
The small jars literally flew off the stall at a pound a pot. Some girls took their honey home to enjoy with their families, but others couldn’t resist the temptation to get stuck right in immediately! Sticky it was, but all reports attested to how very delicious it tasted too!
Queen Beetoria and her worker bees are currently busy at Redhall allotments making the next batch, which we hope will be ready soon. Taster jars will remain at £1 and we may also have some bigger jars for sale at £6.
When it arrives, this next batch will be on sale in Junior School this time.
