Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
Last week, we had a video call with the Erasmus students from our Italian and Austrian partner schools. To start we all shared our favourite thing about our home country. The most common answers were: the fresh air from Austria, the food from Italy and the countryside from Scotland. We then split up into break-out rooms to show some presentations that we had prepared and to discuss local food from each of our countries. One example of food the Austrian students spoke about was pumpkin soup which they said was very popular, Italy spoke about pizza, and we spoke about many local foods including Irn-Bru and haggis. We then did a general knowledge quiz working with our European peers in teams which was very fun.
Since the call, we have been working on a piece of artwork typical of the Italian ‘Infiorata’ festival. Ours is not quite finished yet but we were very impressed with the photos from our Italian peers.
