Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
On Thursday 24 June, the Charities Committee organised a Random Acts of Kindness Day in the Junior School. We decided to share kindness with each other, and we also tried to 'catch' kindness. Each class completed different activities including kindness paper chains, kindness vouchers and compliment boxes. Carrying out a Random Act of Kindness not only made others feel good but also made us feel good. Here are some thoughts from the day:
'It made me feel happy but a little nervous.'
'It made me feel really happy when I heard my name was called out from the compliments box.'
'I liked hearing my name and it gave me a surprise.'
'I felt amazing when I had a compliment read out.'
'I was happy because other people liked what I said.'
'It made me feel welcome.'
'It made me feel happy and it made me feel like everyone around me supported me.'
