Primary 2 have had a busy few weeks back at school! In Mathematics, we have been working on our number bonds to 20 and have been enjoying using interactive games on the smartboard and iPads. We also visited the Fantastical Forest to make some maths monsters. We used natural materials as well as some googly eyes, to create funny creatures with 10 legs.
In the third week of term, we invited our parents and grandparents to talk to us as part of our topic about toys. We set up the classroom as a cinema and met on Teams to hear all about their favourite toys from when they were children. We enjoyed discussing and comparing these to the toys we play with now and have been thinking about the differences in materials and technology. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who were able to join us.
Last week in our RME lesson, we learned all about the story of David and Goliath. We then made our own puppets of each of the characters and worked in groups to create a puppet show to re-tell the story. Miss Mitchell and Mrs Bentley loved watching our performance in our own Primary 2 theatre.
