On Monday 11 October we had our first Holly Award ceremony for this year. The Holly award is presented to the boarder who receives the most nominations for being helpful, caring, and supportive to others throughout the term. The award is named after Holly, Houldsworth’s first resident dog. The lucky winner receives a statue of Holly to keep in their room. This term’s award was won by Juanita, L6.
Below are some of the lovely comments made by boarders about each other:
She is really nice and is fun to talk to and is always there for hockey advice and is just a great friend.
She always offers a smile and has never been rude or nasty about anyone.
She is very kind and thoughtful and funny!!
When I’ve been feeling down or not one hundred percent, she’s been there for me with a caring and supportive attitude. I know that if I need to, I can go to her for a chat or a rant.
