Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
On Wednesday 17 November, the P4s and P5s had an afternoon about Thinking Skills. The Primary 4 and Primary 5 girls rotated through four classrooms where interesting problem-solving activities were laid out. Teachers from our Maths department led three workshops and Mrs Kumari led the fourth workshop. Each room had four or five activities that we could try.
We had a problem about four friends who had to cross a bridge in the fastest time possible, which was quite challenging, and we decided to continue to think about it at home too. We loved how we all got to work together in pairs. Some of us really enjoyed working on difficult problems. Some of us liked everything!
Thank you to Dr Vian and the Maths department for organising this challenging but fun event.
