How to Change Climate Change – Lower School Conference

LSCOP2021 10 sOn Friday the 3rd of December, the Lower School spent most of the day learning about climate change and COP 26. The activities were all led by our sixth form sustainability committee. In the morning some Upper 6 students gave us a fantastic speech about the environment and COP 26! It was remarkably interesting, they told us what we can do to help save our planet. Our second activity was a scavenger hunt! Every team was looking for clues and whoever came back to the starting point first won! We all had lots of fun.

LSCOP2021 8 sAfter break, we were told to split into groups and design a whole outfit using materials such as cardboard – the material we used was mostly waste from the dining centre that week. We worked in teams to design the outfit, and the person who wore the outfit walked down the hall in their wonderful reusable outfit. Everyone looked amazing and at the end, a winner was chosen. L4P won for our year group – they used a bag for their top and pieces of paper for their skirt. They also had a flower necklace made of colourful paper and string!

It was a really fun and exciting day, and we all learned a lot more about COP 26 and the environment!
