Blogs and News - St George's School, Edinburgh
The Primary 1 and Primary 2 House Art event was a heart-warming, creative experience for both the Lower 4 and Primary 1s and 2s. The way it worked was the House and Vice Captains discussed and planned a Christmas craft activity. On Friday 3rd December, the Lower 4 Vice and House Captains visited their much-loved Junior School.
When we were there, it brought back a lot of childhood memories that some of us had from when we were at Junior School. We were separated into four classroom and we each had a table with all the supplies we needed to make our craft idea. The Primary 1s and 2s then got sent to a classroom with their House Captains and we could tell how excited they were to have a whole afternoon with the big girls from Lower School. There was a big variety of crafts on offer from snow globes to Christmas baubles and wreaths. After the crafting fun and tidying up it was sadly time to say goodbye, there were many hugs and lots of waves. We walked away with joy and smiles on our faces. I'll remember this day for a while, it was fun and kind, and just lovely in every way. Thank you to all the staff who helped us arrange this happy and festive afternoon, we all enjoyed it very much and hope there will be more events like this in the future.
