Junior School
"On International Women's Day, we read some parts of Rebel Girls. Then I asked the class to tell me an international woman that each person would like to meet if they could. Later, I recommended to my whole class (P4Y) a book titled The Boy at the Back of the Class by Onjali Rauf which a group in my class is reading currently. Onjali Rauf has worked with several NGOs and is an amazing author. We then read a book titled Lubna and Pebble to understand a little bit more about refugees." Mrs Kumari and P4Y
"We have been reading some of the Little People, Big Dreams books that are in the library. So far, we have read and discussed Amelia Earhart, Maya Angelou, Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn, Marie Curie and Rosa Parks. They are super books, and I am so glad that we have them in the Junior School library." Mrs May and P4X
Nursery
In Ante Preschool this is a little record in our voices book of what we discussed. Mainly questions like "What is a women?" And what the children would like to be when they grow up- we talked about how women can be anything when they work hard and make good choices. We also did some dancing to Spice Girls and talked about "Girl Power".
