Blogs and News - St George's School, Edinburgh
Houldsworth House’s Charities Committee selected this term's fundraising event in support of Target Ovarian Cancer. The boarders had a lovely time walking through Holyrood Park while supporting the cause. Before the walk even kicked off the Houldsworth walking team proudly raised over £1,000! Please read below for some of the comments made by the girls who participated:
- Ellen - I liked the run. It was really pretty, and the weather was perfect for running. Today I ran my first 5 km run in 36 minutes and all for a really good cause.
- Matilda - It was fun. I liked walking and the scenery. I also liked trying Baskin Robbins ice cream for the first time as a treat for finishing!
- Jessica – The walk was good. I liked walking and talking with Matilda and others. I tried brownie and pistachio flavoured ice cream after the walk - it was really yummy!
