At the beginning of June, Upper 4 took part in Airport Week during their Mathematics lessons. The goal of the task was to set up and run their own airline company for the week. There were prizes for the most profitable company and the best advertising campaign. The company Libertair, consisting of Bella, Samanthi, Alexandra, Lottie and Palesa made £497,050.98, winning the most profitable company award. Best advertising campaign goes to Dragon Jet, consisting of Faye, CJ, Florence and Iris.
It was good to see U4 tackling a mathematical application to economics and finance and getting a glimpse of how much Mathematics is relevant for the world of work.
