Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
On 19 February 2017, I arrived at Houldsworth House for a 6-week exchange at St George’s. When I first arrived, I was welcomed with open arms and a warm smile by the houseparents. I was introduced to some of the amazing and friendly boarders who had returned from half term, and was given a tour around the boarding house. My experience in the Houldsworth has been wonderful.
Every weekend we go on a trip. One Sunday we went to Clip 'n Climb at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena and it was so much fun. I have made so many new friends because of these trips. The food in the boarding house is great and everyone is so nice and helpful and easy to talk to. I have been to my first international rugby match and I also was lucky enough to go to Edinburgh Castle which was an amazing experience. I have been able to embrace Scotland's culture and history, tried some traditional Scottish foods and got used to the Scottish accent. I have learned so much and tried so many new things. I have made so many great friends from all over the world while I have been here. My 6 weeks have been fantastic, I have had so much fun and I am going to miss everyone. The friends that I have made in Houldsworth are amazing and because of them I will remember this wonderful exchange, school and boarding house for years to come.
