On Tuesday 21 March, P3X and P3Y walked to Murrayfield Parish Church. When we got there we met the Minister, Reverend Keith Graham. He talked to us about the church and Baptisms that had recently taken place there.
At the church there were no pews there were just chairs with small red pillows on each chair but the choir sit on pews. At the back of the church there was a table called the Communion Table. The Minister showed us the wonderful stained glass windows of the Nativity at Christmas and of Easter when Jesus was put on the cross.
The Bible in the church was big and it was called the Holy Bible, it usually goes on the Communion Table. The Minister talks to everyone from the pulpit. On the pulpit there is a symbol that is called ‘Chi-Rho’. It represents the connection between Jesus on the cross and him coming back to life.
At the end of the visit we looked around the church, had our photo taken and Mr Graham answered some of our questions and told us about Messy Church.
We had a lovely trip and would like to say a big thank you to Mr Graham.
