Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
On Wednesday 26 April 2017 the Primary 6 girls from the Stephen Perse Foundation School in Cambridge came to visit St George’s School for Girls. When they arrived, the P6 social representatives welcomed them to Edinburgh and St George’s School. We gathered inside the Robertson Music Centre to share a musical event. The St George’s P6s sang 'Favourite Things' and 'Where is Love'. The Perse School girls sang 'Bear Necessities' and 'Lean on Me'. After the applause we all joined together to sing The New Seekers song called 'I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing'.
Once we had finished singing, Mrs Hay said thank you to all of us and then we headed to the Lower School Netball Courts. We were having a Netball Tournament and we had 4 matches to play. The Perse School won all the matches.
After we finished our matches, we mingled with the Perse School girls by sitting together for lunch where we got to know each other and learn more about Cambridge. Once we had finished eating, we introduced Capture the Flag and Bulldog’s Tag to our new friends. Sadly, in the middle of having fun, it was time to say farewell.
Esme Stevens said goodbye on behalf of all P6 girls, the Perse School girls gave us three cheers and a little Stephen Perse Foundation teddy. On Friday 28 April 2017, we started making the Stephen Perse Foundation teddy bear a P6Q new student. We have made him a special place in our class.
