Ranger Club in the Junior School this week had an international twist as we were joined by five Italian Professors from the University of Bologna. They are currently visiting schools and nurseries in Edinburgh as part of their studies into Outdoor Learning in Scotland.

The St George’s Rangers were more than happy to show off their skills in den building, tracking, sawing and the art of camouflage. We all enjoyed an exchange of outdoor learning ideas and practices over toasted marshmallows and popcorn around our campfire.

One of the professors also runs a summer forest school near Lake Garda (pictured above) and has offered a reciprocal visit out to Italy to see them…
