Blogs and News - St George's School For Girls, Edinburgh
On Thursday 29 September, the Primary 3 girls donned their 'hi-vis' vests and, armed with clipboards, survey sheets, pencils and oodles of enthusiasm, they made their way out into the streets surrounding the school. Having spent the past few weeks completing mapping work and a local study, they had great fun identifying different house types and honing their road safety skills.
However, the highlight of the afternoon’s outing was the traffic survey! Ravelston Dykes was filled with sounds of girls cheering cars, taxis and vans as they tallied up their numbers on their survey sheets. As well as learning important messages about keeping safe on the streets and building in our local environment, the girls had great fun!
